Ping Yuen Mural

Ping Yuen and North Ping Yuen are part of a four-building public housing complex in San Francisco’s Chinatown, developed to provide housing for Chinese immigrant families in the mid-20th century. A large mural by Darryl Mar, completed in 1999, is installed on the site and is dedicated to the experiences of Chinese immigrants and the individuals who worked to build community and belonging in the neighborhood.
